The Spotted Eagle is a rare passage bird, mainly during winter. It is a large bird of prey, and it gets its name from the distinctive white spots on the wings of the juveniles.

Since the beginning of this century this species has undergone a constant decline and contraction of its breeding area and it is threatened with extinction.

عقاب السعفاء الكبري طائر نادر المرور بمصر في فصل الشتاء وهو طائر صياد ضخم، يتميز بالبقع البيضاء التي تظهر علي اجنحة صغاره. ومنذ بداية هذا القرن وهذا الطائر يعاني من تقلص مواطن تكاثره وهو حاليا مهدد بالانقراض
