Gold was something that the Ancient Egyptians held sacred. They considered this precious metal to be a ‘holy ore’, because of its connection with the god Ra. The film reviews the art of extracting gold and then fashioning it into jewellery. It also looks at the gold trade in Egypt nowadays.
