Metallic Faience Plate
This lusterware painted ceramic plate has drawings of a multitude of consecutive animals representing two foxes chasing a hare.A lozenge-like pattern separates the animals. The area is decorated with metallic and liquid colors.Limbs are hanging from the mouths of two of these animals.In the center there is an eight-lobed flower, bringing together both the metallic and the liquid colors in a way similar to the style known as the faience of Faiyum.The Sassanian influence is obvious in this piece in relation to the use of coloring as well as the animal chasing scenes and the limbs hanging from the animals' mouths.

Cette assiette en céramique peinte lustrée comporte des dessins d'une multitude de représentations d'animaux répétitives représentant deux renards chassant un lièvre.Un motif en losange sépare les animaux. La zone est ornée de couleurs limpides et métalliques.Des branches pendent de la bouche de deux de ces animaux.Au centre, une fleur a huit lobes rassemble les couleurs limpides et métalliques d'une façon similaire au style connu sous le nom de faïence de Fayoum.L'influence Sassanide est évidente dans cette oeuvre de par l'utilisation des couleurs ainsi que par les scènes d'animaux chassant et les branches pendant de la bouche des animaux.

طبق من خزف البريق المعدني، بزخارف لحشد من الحيوانات المتتابعة والمتعاقبة؛ متمثلة في رسم لثعلبين يطاردان أرنبا بريا
ويفصل شكل يشبه المعين بين الحيوانات، والمنطقة مزخرفة بألوان معدنية وسائلة
وتتدلى أطراف (أرجل) من فمي هذين الثعلبين
وتوجد في وسط الطبق زهرة ثمانية الفصوص؛ تدمج معا الألوان المعدية والسائلة، على نحو يشبه الأسلوب المعروف باسم "قيشاني الفيوم"
