This wooden sarcophagus is made of Indian teak. The remaining parts of the sarcophagus consist of one side plus the upper and lower sections.It consists of panels and lathes of wood, decorated with geometrical and floral designs and various inscriptions executed in raised carving. The panels are of various shapes, including rectangles, squares and triangles.The interior panels are also of various shapes, including six-pointed stars, hexagons and some parts of astral plate.Such geometrical elements are considered the beginning of the astral plate, which took its final form in the Mamluk era. Within the geometrical designs there are floral decorations of arabesque style, consisting of palmettos and half palmettos. The rectangular and square panels of the sarcophagus are surrounded by Qur'anic text and prayers, executed in Kufic foliage inscription. It's meaning is "In the name of Allah the merciful, the compassionate. They said Allah is to be thanked, who truly fulfilled his promise and made us inherit the land, which is from Paradise where the reward of the right doers is aroused and blooms."There are also prayers written in Kufic interlaced inscriptions and of Al-Qursi verse (verse of the Chair) in Naskh inscriptions.All the inscriptions are executed in raised carving style on various floral decoration backgrounds.

Ce sarcophage en bois est en teck indien. Ce sarcophage, costitue d'un côté plus le dessus et le fond.Il se compose de panneaux et de lattes de bois ornés de motifs floraux et géométriques et de plusieurs inscriptions gravées en relief. Ces panneaux sont de diverses formes comprenat des rectangles, d'autres carrés ou encore triangulaires.Les panneaux internes sont également de formes diverses : étoiles à six branches, hexagones et certaines parties de la plaque astrale.
Ces éléments géométriques sont considérés comme les débuts de la plaque astrale qui a atteint sa forme définitive à l'époque mamelouke. Parmi ces motifs géométriques, on retrouve des décorations florales de style arabesque composées de palmettes et de demi-palmettes. Les panneaux rectangulaires et carrés du sarcophage sont entourés de prières et de textes coraniques en écriture coufique fleurie signifiant : « Au nom d'Allah le miséricordieux, le compatissant. Selon eux, Allah doit être remercié, lui qui a vraiment tenu ses promesses et qui nous a permis d'hériter de la terre qui vient du paradis, endroit où prospère la récompense de ceux qui s'amendent ».On lit également des prières en écritures coufique entrelacées issues du verset d'El-korsi (verset de la Chaise)en Naskh.Toutes les inscriptions sont gravées en relief sur plusieurs fonds aux décorations florales.

تابوت من خشب الساج الهندى يتكون من جانب واحد؛ مع الجزء العلوي والسفلي
وهو مؤلف من حشوات وسدابات تشتمل على زخارف هندسية ونباتية ونقوش مكتوبة متعددة نفذت بالحفر البارز. والحشوات مختلفة الأشكال؛ فمنها المستطيل ومنها المربع
وملئت الحشوات من الداخل بأشكال هندسية متنوعة؛ كالنجوم سداسية الرءوس والأشكال السداسية وأجزاء من الطبق النجمي
وتعد هذه العناصر الهندسية بداية ظهور شكل الطبق النجمي؛ الذي اكتملت صورته في العصر المملوكي. وتوجد بداخل هذه الأشكال الهندسية زخارف نباتية على طراز الأرابسك المؤلف من مراوح نخيلية وأنصاف مراوح نخيلية. وتحيط بالحشوات المستطيلة والمربعة للتابوت، نقوش مكتوبة لنصوص قرآنية ودعائية نفذ بعضها بالخط الكوفي المورق. وهي تقرأ : "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وقالوا الحمد لله الذي صدقنا وعده وأورثنا الأرض نتبوأ من الجنة حيث نشاء فنعم أجر العاملين"
وهناك أيضا نقوش مكتوبة لنصوص دعائية نفذت بالخط الكوفي المضفر. كما توجد كذلك نقوش مكتوبة لنص من آية الكرسي؛ نفذت بالخط النسخ
وجميع النقوش المكتوبة نفذت بالحفر البارز؛ على أرضية من زخارف بأشكال نباتية متنوعة
